Cancelling a Free Trial

LinkedIn Premium free trials auto-convert to paid subscriptions. To avoid being charged:

  • Cancel at least 1 day before the trial ends
  • You keep trial features for the remaining trial period
  • Set a calendar reminder for the day before it expires

You can check your trial end date at Settings → Account preferences → Subscriptions & payments.

Can You Pause Instead of Cancelling?

LinkedIn sometimes offers a pause option when you try to cancel. This lets you keep your account inactive for 1-2 months without being charged. Not everyone sees this option, it's shown selectively during the cancellation flow.

If you see "Pause your subscription" during cancellation, it's usually worth trying before fully cancelling.

Can You Get a Refund?

LinkedIn's refund policy:

  • Within 24 hours of a new subscription or renewal: request a refund through LinkedIn support
  • Auto-renewed by mistake: contact support within a few days, they sometimes issue courtesy refunds
  • App Store/Google Play subscriptions: request refunds through Apple or Google, not LinkedIn

To contact support: Settings → Help Center → Contact Us.
