We publish pricing guides and comparisons for tools we compete with. That is a conflict of interest, so this page states exactly how we handle it.

Editorial content on this site is written and reviewed by Matt, who builds and runs SocialRails. Some operational and reference pages carry a SocialRails Team byline. We do not publish content under invented author names or invented credentials.
SocialRails competes with most of the products we write about. We are not a neutral party and we do not claim to be. What we commit to instead is that the facts are checkable:
Limits, prices, and plan names for SocialRails are taken from the live product and from our pricing page, which is the reference the blog is checked against. When the product changes, the pricing page is the version that is correct and the articles are corrected to match it.
We do not advertise capabilities we do not ship. If you find a page on this site promising a SocialRails feature that does not exist, that is a defect and we want to hear about it.
This blog has a large archive, and parts of it were produced at a scale and speed that we no longer consider acceptable. We are not going to pretend otherwise.
The current standard is that every page is researched and fact-checked by a person before it is published or republished, and that generated text is never shipped unreviewed. We are working through the existing archive page by page against that standard rather than rewriting it in bulk, because a bulk rewrite would reproduce exactly the problem it is meant to fix. Until a page has been through that pass, it may be older and thinner than what we would publish today.
If something on this site is wrong, tell us and we will fix the page itself rather than quietly leave it up. Email contact@socialrails.com with the URL and what is wrong, or use the contact form.
Substantive corrections, meaning a changed fact, price, or recommendation, are made in the article and the page's updated date is changed. Vendors are welcome to contact us about their own pricing; we will verify it against your public pricing page and correct ours if it is out of date.
We do not sell placement in our rankings or comparisons, and no vendor pays to appear in, or be excluded from, an article. We run an affiliate program for SocialRails itself, which pays for referrals to our own product and has no bearing on what we say about anyone else's.
Where an article recommends SocialRails, we are recommending our own product and the page says so.
We retire content that we can no longer stand behind instead of leaving it up for traffic. Removed URLs return a permanent status code, and where a better page exists we redirect to it. If a page you had bookmarked is gone, that was deliberate.
