How to See Your YouTube Subscribers (Full Subscriber List)

You can see your subscriber list, exact count, and growth analytics in YouTube Studio. The catch most guides skip: you only ever see subscribers who made their subscriptions public, so your list will almost always look shorter than your total count.

See Your Subscriber List

YouTube Studio shows your most recent public subscribers with their names and channel info.

Steps (desktop):

1. Go to studio.youtube.com and sign in
2. On the Dashboard, find the Recent subscribers card
3. Click See all to expand the full list
4. From the top, choose a timeframe and sort by subscriber count

Steps (mobile):

Open the YouTube Studio app (a separate app from the main YouTube app), tap the Dashboard tab, and the Recent subscribers card appears there too. The main YouTube app does not show a subscriber list, only your rounded count on your channel.

What You'll See:

Why the List Looks Short

You won't see all your subscribers here. Only people who set their subscriptions to public appear, and on YouTube subscriptions are private by default.

Because most viewers never change that default, you'll typically see far fewer names than your total count. The list also caps at roughly the last 1,000 public subscribers, so large channels never see a complete roster. This is a privacy protection, not a bug, and there is no setting or tool that forces private subscribers to appear.

Check Your Exact Subscriber Count

Your channel page shows a rounded number (like "12.4K"). For the exact count, use Studio.

Steps:

1. Go to studio.youtube.com
2. Your exact count is at the top of the Dashboard (e.g., "12,437")
3. For a growth graph, click Analytics in the left menu

Only you see the exact number. Everyone else sees the rounded version.

Your subscriber count matters for monetization, since you need 1,000 subscribers to join the YouTube Partner Program and start getting paid.

YouTube Studio gives you detailed data about who subscribes, why, and when.

Steps:

1. Go to studio.youtube.com
2. Click Analytics → Audience tab

This data tells you what's working. If a video type drives more subs, make more of those.

Pair this with your audience retention data to understand not just who subscribes, but what keeps them watching.

Control Your Own Subscriber Visibility

The same privacy setting that hides other people from your list controls whether you show up in the channels you subscribe to. If your subscriptions are private, your name never appears in any creator's Recent subscribers list.

Steps (desktop):

1. Go to youtube.com and sign in
2. Click your profile picture (top right), then Settings
3. In the left menu, click Privacy
4. Turn Keep all my subscriptions private on to hide, or off to show

Steps (mobile):

Open the main YouTube app, tap your profile picture, open Settings, then Privacy, and toggle Keep all my subscriptions private.

The Catch Most Guides Miss

Making your subscriptions private is not absolute. If you post in a subscriber only live chat, or comment on a video or Short where comments are limited to subscribers and members, other viewers can publicly see that you subscribe to that channel. The private setting hides your subscription list, but subscriber gated interactions still expose that single subscription.

Making your subscriptions public is the only way to appear in a creator's list, so if you want a creator to see that you subscribed, switch this toggle off.

See Someone Else's Subscriber Count

You can see any public channel's subscriber count, but never their individual subscriber list.

Steps:

1. Go to their YouTube channel page
2. The subscriber count appears below the channel name
3. For 1,000+ subscribers, it's rounded (e.g., "1.23K", "45.6K")

For more precise numbers, Social Blade shows closer estimates and growth trends for any public channel.

Some channels hide their subscriber count entirely. That's a privacy setting the channel owner controls in YouTube Studio under Settings → Channel → Advanced settings.

Can You See Who Unsubscribed?

No. YouTube doesn't show individual unsubscribers.

You can see:

• Total subscribers lost in a time period (Analytics → Audience)
• Which videos lost subscribers (net change per video)
• Where subscribers came from before they left

No third-party tool can track individual unsubscribers either. YouTube's API doesn't provide this data.
